Professor Oluwakemi Adekile was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991. She started her career in lecturing in 1993 with the single campus Council of Legal Education, Nigeria Law School. She joined the Department of Private and Property Law, University of Lagos in 1998 and presently teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her specialization is in the field of Family Law with gender and Human Rights interrogation, and the Law of Tort.

She is passionate about skills in Legal Research and Writing. An advent believer in facilitating knowledge through advancing technology, Professor Adekile runs a YouTube channel @The Law Professor where she reaches the global community with insights on her field. She has served and continues to serve the University in diverse capacities including as Sub-Dean of the Faculty, Board Member of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Board Member, Legal Advisory Board of the University of Lagos, She has published extensively in the field of Family Law, Law of Tort and private law issues in local and international journals.

Professor Adekile holds other critical interests in the field of legal practice and education including Partner at Royal Heritage Solicitors and Board member, Royal Heritage International School.
