Head of Department - Prof. Nwudego N. Chinwuba

Nwudego Chinwuba is a Professor with the University of Lagos in the Department of Private and Property Law, Nwudego holds an LL.B, LL.M and PhD degrees from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos. She holds the B.L. and is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of

Nigeria. Nwudego’s doctoral is on the idea of easements and covenants as socio-property relations tools with a strategic role in physical and aesthetic as well as intrinsic human development. She teaches the Principles of Equity, Law of Trust, Law of Tort, Succession and Administration of Estate and Family Law. She is a member of many Local and International Academic and Professional Associations. She is also an executive of the Socio-Legal Scholars Association, United Kingdom.

 

Nwudego served as the acting Head of the Department of Private and Property Law between 2013-2014. Professor Chinwuba is an accomplished academic and social commentator. She has written and published widely – both locally and internationally – in her areas of expertise and is the author of the book, Family and Succession Law in Nigeria.
