Personal Statement

Ms. Olaoluwatofunmi Tabitha Bamgbose is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She received her Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and gained her Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation with distinction in several courses and dissertation from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.

She is a doctoral candidate at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Olaoluwatofunmi has been a recipient of various scholarships and awards which include the University of Warwick General Scholarship (2015), and the award for best graduating student in Law of Business Association (2013), University of Ibadan, Oyo State. She joined the Public Law Department, Faculty of Law in 2019, and lectures on criminal law and criminology.

Her research interests are in criminal and social justice, compliance, data protection and corporate crimes. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Women’s Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association, and a Member of the Nigerian
