Head of Department - Prof. Adewale Adedamola Olawoyin

Prof Adewale A. Olawoyin joined the Faculty of Law in December 1996. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom (1995) and an LL.M. (with Merit) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1990).

He writes on and teaches Shipping and Admiralty Law, Company Law, Commercial Arbitration as well as Law of Banking and Commercial Transactions. He has published extensively in journals such as the Journal of Maritime Law and Commerce, Journal of International Arbitration and Journal of African Law. He has also delivered papers at several learned conferences.
