DR. IFEOMA ANNOLUWASEMILORE
(Senior Lecturer)
Ifeoma Ann Oluwasemilore obtained her LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Lagos in
1998 and 2008 respectively. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in October, 2000. She has a
Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Ibadan (MLS) and was awarded the
M.Phil and Ph.D. Degrees of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2013 and 2017 respectively.
Dr Oluwasemilore had years of experience in legal practice before she joined the Legal Unit of
the University of Lagos in 2005. From there, she became the Law Librarian of the University. She
is currently a Senior Lecturer with teaching and research interests in Intellectual Property Law,
Law of Banking and Negotiable Instruments, Business Law, Law of Contract and Law of
Insurance. She was a recipient of the Award of Excellence at the 94th Annual Meeting of the
American Association for the Advancement of Science, Pacific Division (AAAS-PD) at the
University of Nevada, Las-Vegas USA in 2013. A Chartered Librarian (CLN), she is an active
member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers. She is
the recipient of ”Best Paper Award” in Track J (Intellectual Property) at the First ARUA Centre of
Excellence for Unemployment and Skills Development International Conference in 2020.
