PROFESSOR ADEWALE ADEDAMOLA OLAWOYIN, SAN

Head of Department

Prof Adewale A. Olawoyin, SAN joined the Faculty of Law in December 1996. He holds a Ph.D.

from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom (1995) and an LL.M. (with Merit) from the

London School of Economics and Political Science (1990). He writes on and teaches Shipping

and Admiralty Law, Company Law, Commercial Arbitration as well as Law of Banking and

Commercial Transactions. He has published extensively in journals such as the Journal of

Maritime Law and Commerce, Journal of International Arbitration and Journal of African Law.

He has also delivered papers at several learned conferences.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Maritime Law Association, Maritime

Arbitrators Association of Nigeria,governing council of Lagos Chambers of Commerce Court of

Arbitration and also a member of the Lagos Court of Arbitration.

He became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 2014.
