Professor Ige O. Bolodeoku

PROFESSOR IGE OMOTAYO BOLODEOKU

Professor Ige Omotayo Bolodeoku joined the Faculty in April 1993 and was appointed a

Professor of Law in the Department in October 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons)

Degree from Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos; Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree (with Distinction)

from the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, Akoka and a Doctorate in Law from Osgoode Hall

Law School, York University, Toronto, Canada.

Professor Bolodeoku specializes in Corporate Theory, Comparative Corporate Law and

Governance Systems. He teaches Corporate Law, Law of Taxation and Commercial Transactions.

He has written extensively in his areas of specialization and interest in both local and

international peer review journals and is also a consultant in corporate governance. He served

as the Head of Department of Commercial and Industrial Law (2017-2020) and Dean Faculty of

Law University of Lagos (2021-2024). Prof. Bolodeoku served as a Senior Special Assistant to the

Governor of Ondo State on Public Private Partnership and on Power. He is a member of the

Nigerian Bar Association.
