Dr. Issa Adedokun obtained a Diploma in Law with Distinction in 2004 and an LL.B. Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in 2009 from the University of Ado-Ekiti as top best. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2011. He holds a Masters Degree in Law (LL.M) and a Ph.D. Degree in Private and Property Law from the University of Lagos. During his Master of Laws Degree programme, he won a postgraduate award to his credit.

This award earned him a secondment to the Commercial and Industrial Law Department by the University as a Teaching Assistant between 2013 and 2015. He is the award winner of the overall best Ph.D. Thesis in Humanities at the 54th convocation ceremony of the University of Lagos and was decorated with the prestigious University Alumni’s Excellence Award for the best Ph.D. Thesis. Dr. Issa joined the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, as a full Lecturer (Grade II) in 2019.

He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association, having served in various Executive capacities. He is a member of the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA). His main area of research interest is Property Law. He teaches the Law of Torts, Housing Law, Conveyancing Law, Land Law, Cybertorts and Legal Research and Writing.
