Dr. Olayinka T. Owoeye bagged his Ph.D. degree from the University of Lagos, and his LL.B and LL.M degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife both in Second Class (Upper Division). He is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He was the recipient of Professor A. B. Kasunmu Prize for the best student in the Law of Evidence at graduation. He is a Notary Public of Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of International Law, International Humanitarian Law Teachers Association, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria, and a host of others. His research interests include African Conflicts; International Humanitarian Law; Petroleum & Gas Law; Conflict of Laws and Human Rights Law.
