Personal Statement

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole joined the Faculty in 2004 and is currently a Senior Lecturer. Her research interests include International Economic Law (Trade and Investment) and International Human Rights and Development, and she has published widely in these areas. She holds an LL.B from University of Lagos, and an LLM. from Cambridge University England, where she was a DFID-Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholar. She also has a Master’s degree in International Legal Studies as well as a JSD from Stanford Law School, USA.

She has served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Nigerian Vice President on Trade & Investment (2015 – 2023). Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) and Investment (2023-2024).

She is currently serving as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment.
