Dr Philip Folarin is an Associate Professor teaching and carrying out research in Labour Law, Taxation Law, Law of Contract as well as Business and Commercial Transactions Law. He obtained his LL.B. and LL.M degrees in 2007 and 2012 respectively from the University of Lagos. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008. He obtained his Ph.D. in Commercial and Industrial Law from the University of Lagos in 2017.

While pursuing his Masters degree, he was conferred with Teaching Assistant Award (2009- 2011) and was subsequently appointed as Lecturer II in 2012. A former Examination Officer, he is currently the Post Graduate Programme Coordinator for the Faculty of Law. Dr Folarin has presented papers and participated in various academic conferences both within and outside Nigeria and is widely published in both national and foreign journals.

He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of the Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), and a member of the Chatered Institute of Arbitration (CIArb UK). He is a member of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and member, Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT).
